I'm a native Texan, born in Fort Worth raised with 2 sisters and a great-grandmother who taught me how to crochet and embroider. By 12 I was sewing my own clothes and by high school I was getting paid to sew for friends.
I first learned to quilt in 1987 and back then everything was done by hand. Clothes-making took a back seat to quilting. I had a day job in a hair salon and I quilted at night or on the weekends. After retiring from the salon, I took a job at a quilt store. A natural step. Only thing, I really didn't make much money! But life has a way of coming full circle and I met Judy Reynolds who also worked at the quilt shop. She loved my designs and I signed on with Black Cat Creations. Wow, what a thrill it is to see your designs come to life! I now have 13 patterns and many more ideas. I hope to have many more years and patterns with Black Cat Creations.
